Swimming Pool Rules


This listing SUMMARIZES the OFFICIAL pool rules, which were adopted in a general membership meeting. EACH HOMEOWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR READING the official RULES in their entirety and becomING familiar with all of the rules pertaining to the use of the wellington park pool.


  1. Use of the Wellington Park swimming pool is a privilege, not a right.
     
  2. Only Wellington Park Association members in good standing who have closed on the purchase of their home may use the pool.
     
  3. The pool will normally open by Memorial Day and close after the Labor Day weekend. These dates are subject to change due to weather.
     
  4. Pool hours are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
     
  5. Members may bring up to 5 guests per household to the pool (or more than 5 if the guests are visiting and live outside the Metro area). Prior approval must be obtained from the Pool Committee to bring more than 5 guests to the pool at any one time (unless outside the Metro area). Guests must be accompanied by a Wellington Park resident 14 years or older.
     
  6. Children under age 12 must be accompanied by either:


    1. Their parent.
    2. A guardian.
    3. For children under age 9, a reliable custodian 18 hears of age or older appointed by said children’s parent or guardian.
    4. For children between the ages of 9 and 11 inclusive, a reliable custodian 16 years of age or older appointed by said children’s parent or guardian.
       
  7. Children between ages of 12 and 17, inclusive, must first have their parent/guardian sign and deliver to the Pool Committee the agreement authorizing said children to swim unattended. This releases Wellington Park of any claims resulting from injury or death to said children.
     
  8. There is to be no running, pushing, tricycles, bicycles, skateboards, pets, fighting, shouting, or offensive behavior at the pool.
     
  9. Acrobatic entries into the pool are not permitted. No heads first diving is allowed at any time.
     
  10. Large flotation devices are prohibited.
     
  11. Only swim suits are permitted when swimming. All infants must wear plastic pants.
     
  12. The gate must be closed and locked after entering or leaving the pool.
     
  13. Alcohol is not permitted at pool parties.
     
  14. Pool keys are issued in May to all homeowners who have signed the pool agreement/release form and whose homeowner dues have been paid for the current year.
